I am a firm believer that we should be as flexible as we can with our food choices during this time of the year. However, I also think that we should not be using the summer season as an excuse to fall off track completely and gain unnecessary bodyfat (and frustration) just because, you know… It’s summer. I’m going to get back at it again in next month.
To help you save a few calories, I thought I would share some of my favourite snack and dessert ideas with you. These are a great option if you fancy some nibbles along with your drinks or something sweet after a big, heavy meal without having to worry too much about the calories.
As I said, I’d like to relax and enjoy the nice sunny days. But I also like to fit in my favourite dress and pair of shorts 😊
Be present, enjoy the company of your family and friends. Remember, it’s not all about the food.
Multipack nibbles (all about 100kcals per pack) Chilled desserts (less than 100kcals per serving) Tip: pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours and serve them with the brownies below) Brownies and bars (less than 100kcals per bar) Tip: heat them in the microwave for 5-10 sec and serve them with one of the chilled desserts above Calorie friendly ice cream (all about 300-350kcals per tub) Low calorie hot chocolate (between 35-42kcals per serving)
Tip: add a shot of brandy or rum 😊
